Since 2002, EWB-USA has supported community-driven development programs worldwide by collaborating with local partners to design and implement sustainable engineering projects, while creating transformative experiences and responsible leaders.

Our Mission

The Hartford Professional Chapter partnership with EWB-USA was founded in November, 2006, with the following goals:

  • To help disadvantaged communities throughout the world meet their basic needs through Professional Chapter projects.

  • To have the Professional Members be a technical resource for students of all levels.

  • To collect and provide research on sustainable technologies to create internationally responsible engineers.

  • To maintain a presence in the local community through service.

This type of partnership of professional engineers, engineering students, and head office resources results in environmentally and economically sustainable projects that are compatible with the environment, society and culture of the community, and globally-minded responsible engineers.
